hello all vintage van brothers, im new here well kindof i been lurkin the site for a few weeks.
Anyways my name is Gary and i just bought a 67' econo for 500 bucks!! The body needs paint but the 240 seems to run really well. I was told it needs a new gas tank or needs cleaned so im looking now for a fuel cell with a little more capacity for long trips. The plans for the van are to make it a home away from home i kinda have the vagabon spirit, and i sure do love to get to warm weather during this time of year.
Anyways here's a few pic's from the day i got it.

Yes indeed plans, Well bamboo floor, home made disc conversion, and a flip down bed off the soild wall, and i have been thinking of making a aluminum frame for the roof for storage or maybe a sleeping pad for when its super nice.
And kinda of a pipe dream but who knows im sure some of you will say what the hell? but i have been thinking of doing a turbo 4clyinder hooked to a auto chevy th350 tranny. sounds dumb huh most go for the v8 well i know these mitsu motors and power is power plus get the great gas milage of a 4cly. I know some maybe put off by it but well i like a challenge

Sounds crazy i know but they put them in lots of stuff with great results.
    example.....
