    Sounds like a Wiring issue...

Run a jumper from the voltage regulator body to the doghouse,,,,,see if that helps,,,,,,,,do you know what the voltage reading at the battery is?

also disconnect the alternator & see if it quits?? If so the alt is bad internally -bad diode set discharging the batt.

    What twinpilot001 said!

That ia usualy a shorted diode in the alternator, And it will drain the battery.

and I dont mean the engine will quit! just the current drain - You can also do same in the dark to see if the alternator sparks a small amount -indicating the current draw on the system thru the alternator - do this as engine isnt running- if you see a spark in the dark - the alt - diode trio is bad - which can be replaced easily.

If you mix up the 1 and 2 wires on a 3rd gen alternator, you will cause a drain on the battery,,,,,

The 3rd Gen alternator is a way cheaper and better way to go if you want to get rid of the mechanical voltage regulator,,,,,,,those 1 wires regulate the voltage from the output of the alternator, I like it better with the 3rd Gen one since you can connect the #2 terminal to a place near the battery so the battery regulates exactly what it needs. and,,,,,,,,I have found those #1 and 2 wires hooked up backwards on many conversions which will work,,, but it causes a drain on the battery,,,,,,,,

But getting back to your drain,,,,,,,11.93 volts don't mean nothing,,,,,that could be just a milliamp,,,,,,AMPS is what matters and the easiest test is to undo a battery cable, put a 12 volt test light between the cable and the post and if it lights up,,,,,,you gots a problem,,,,,,,it takes about a 1/2 amp flowing out of the battery to cause the test light to light up so if it does during this test,,,,,,something is using it and will kill the battery. So if it's on, start unplugging stuff like the guys just said until you make the light go out. Then you have found the cause.
