See what the other guys say ,but I'd take a real close look at the casting against the cylinders there in the lifter/pushrod openings below that crack.

A machine shop can magnaflux it and see how big it really is. They can suggest how to fix it, or if you should get another block.

Well it was a replacement engine anyway.... the original is lone gone. I might as well get a new block and start over.

it can be fixed but for what it will cost you your better off finding a new block

Thats was what I was thinking..... I have been avoiding changing from a 6 to an 8 conversion but not sure. Anyone happy with the V8 conversion over a 6?
