    Ok this is my replacement motor....I got the head off and noticed the crack right away but it doesn't go anyware... It doesn't go down into the threads at all just to the edge of the head bolt hole. This motor was from a 1971 Dodge Swinger Dart 225 the car had low miles

    See what the other guys say ,but I'd take a real close look at the casting against the cylinders there in the lifter/pushrod openings below that crack.

    A machine shop can magnaflux it and see how big it really is. They can suggest how to fix it, or if you should get another block.

    Well it was a replacement engine anyway.... the original is lone gone. I might as well get a new block and start over.

    it can be fixed but for what it will cost you your better off finding a new block

    Thats was what I was thinking..... I have been avoiding changing from a 6 to an 8 conversion but not sure. Anyone happy with the V8 conversion over a 6?
