Rubbers not hard to find the local glass shops carry it by the roll. It's the front winshield we will have to make a seal for it.
G-man I really want to go to the Nat's already started prepping the wife for the trip!!

VH all second gens have problems there so don't feel to bad. Even my 2nd gen that was a fire dept van and kept inside all the time had rot there. I have seen much worst.

What would be the options for repairing/replacing that windshield rot? I have the same, and maybe worse, on my 68.

I think I am going to use a fiberglass resin. I will keep you posted. So the tear out and sanding continue. I think I will only work on the white for now so I can get my windows back in.

Are you planning on leaving the battery behind the seat? I moved mine beneath the floor once I discovered that the cover and tray from a parts van is pretty much a bolt on application using existing mounting holes.

Yeah.... The frame and cross supports accept the tray and bolts out of a donor van. I'm lucky enough to live relatively close to V.V. member "64 chevy" who had a parts van for me to plunder. The compartment cover fits perfectly into that area by the side door and, if you cut carefully, the latch mechanism catches and seals nicely.
