Just wondering if they are available anywhere or do we have to make them or what? The cargo door grommets are taller and I dont see an easy way to cut them down without wrecking them ? Ive went throught Steele and restoration's catalogues and come up with nada.

Re: Front door hinge grommets ?
Digz, I used these from Steele Rubber products, # 60-0659-69. 4 pc set is enugh for one door @ $34.40. They are an exact reproduction. Pricey but not many other options.

Re: Front door hinge grommets ?
Well it looks like you got them to fit on the front , I had problems with them wanting to buckle up bad on the sides. I needed a set for the side doors anyway so they are going there now, Have to order up a couple sets for the front.
Thanks

Re: Front door hinge grommets ?
Joe, I did a lot of pushing and squezing to get them in good. They do want to squish out. I have some shims welded to the inside leaves of the hindge to align the doors that caused a problem getting them in. We put some white lethuim grease on the hindge and gromet to get it in. I will be puting some 3M weather strip adhevsieve on the top and bottom.

Re: Front door hinge grommets ?
There are 3 different gaskets for different hinges.
Front door upper at body # 3871775 (2)
Says nothing about the front lower
Side & rear door at door # 3778643
(4) for G10 (eight) for G15 & G25
Rear, side, & intermediate at body # 3868334
(4) for G10 (eight) for G15 & G25
I have a box full of gaskets & did notice a difference in size.
Was wondering about it, but never got around to checking into it.

Re: Front door hinge grommets ?
I called Steele Rubber today, they said those sounded like GM part #s.
And all they have is the grommets we have been using.

Sorry for the delay in response.
Yes, those are GM numbers.
I'll get some pics after the 1st of the year.
