VH,
Hope you treated that before you fibered it. Otherwise it's only a short term fix and you just created a rust farm... It looks good...

Re: Got swiss cheese floors??
Something I havent figured out is why the passenger side seems to get rustier than the drivers side. All 3 I have seem that way, Might be able to slow down the rust by treating the underside and getting it sealed up well if you didnt get the topside done.

Re: Got swiss cheese floors??
Ive got a theory seeing as G's spotless 69 has it to.. No direct heat on that side from the fan ? doesn't dry out enough maybe?

Smart man...Van Halen wrote:Funny my pass side had more cheese, and yes I put a rust inhibitor.
I too noticed it. Both mine had more on the pass side as well and even all the parts vans too. I repaired the areas and sprayed (more like flooded) with "Purple Power" (Mild Acid) and then encapsulated them with POR-15. Then used spray undercoating on the underside (basically sprayed the whole area behind the grill). It's solid as a rock now!
But have to admit VH. Your pic's have given my an idea. Since my floors have already been repaired and sealed. A fiberglass layer would really protect it from future water damage...
