Yep , Jeep ones are almost identical and much cheaper. I have one on my pickup but the other got smashed. There are a few people on this site looking for metal glove box doors. Tall dog houses are worth getting too.So are the humps behind the doghouse in the later model EconosG-Man wrote:Any of those back-up lights are worth some cash

I see several people wanted a glove box door. If there is enough of them I wold love to have one as well. Looks like alot of good stuff there. The mini trike graveyard is creepy!

Re: Junk yard find !
It looks like the upside down van only has one turn siginal bezel. It's still worth getting. All those back up lights are good to get. The lenses are being repo'd. It's the bases that are hard to find. The Heavy Duty emblems are good to get as well. The metal glove box doors and latches as mentioned. Get the latch from the padded door as well. It works with metal doors. Just turn it around. That 67 pickup looks like it could be saved. It's a desirable truck. Five window, big six, heavy duty. All good things. I'd get the 67 master cylinders and pedals. Very desirable. The dash pad in the red van looks like it might be good. Hard to tell with all the moss on it. It you're really adventureous you can also grab the 9 inch rears. Hard work getting them out of such a yard.
I'd be interested in the tail gate on the 67 PU. It looks like it might be savable. Get the tail gate hinges and rods as well. I also would be interested in the pickup and early van rear bumpers with brackets. You know, The license plate bumpers, not the straight bumpers. I'd also be interested in the corner glass from the 67 PU. Let me know if we can work something out.

Re: Junk yard find !
I here you Tim. Ever take a 9 inch on a plane as your carry on?? LOL.
That 67 PU is looking sweet to me. I wonder how bad it is. There are some really good parts in that stash. I'd like to visit that place. I wonder if he'll be able to get anything out of it. He did say it was a closed yard. We all know about them. Sometimes it's really hard to get the owners to let go of anything. We've all seen too many yards that would rather it rust away then let somebody that can use it, buy it.
We had a yard close a couple of years ago. The owner didn't give any warning. Just locked the gate. Said if you wanted something then you should have bought it by now. Scraped 2500 cars and trucks. He had about 10 Econolines. A bunch of 1st and 2nd gen Chevys. It's all gone now. I'd hate to see all of this go the same way.

How about I pick you up on the way down? You're just over an hour south of me. I was thinking rear door letters and a 9"/drive-shaft.

Re: Junk yard find !
the owner is a really neat old man..82...
He will let any and all of it go...he is more likely to sell the van or pick up as a whole and let you do what you want to it.
There is a 64 G10 there he wants 300 for the whole thing...figured I could talk him down to 200. there are some good parts on it..
He seams to be a very reasonable person. I will try to get prices from him on Sunday.

Re: Junk yard find !
can't believe he doesn't have any A100s.......could you check something for me though? If there are any 60s or 70s Dodge cars there, check to see if they have any interior dome lamps. I need two lenses for them, the lenses should have two prongs on them.

Re: Junk yard find !
Had to work Sunday my next day off is this coming Sunday I will compile a list from this forum and check on all the parts then..
He has a couple of 72 or 73 dusters would that be the same dome lamp cover?
The problem of going there is you just spin looking at all the old cars...kinda like a kid in a Dime store for the first time...

Re: Junk yard find !
It might be.....probably......if it has two prongs on it instead of three then yeah I think so. If it has three prongs then its too big. And yeah I only need the lenses. I know where I can buy reproduction ones for a good price but I want to see if it would be cheaper to get them from that yard.

Re: Junk yard find !
man... if he had an A100 in there on the cheap I'd be headed that way with a truck load of tools...
I found some in a local yard here but the old guy wont sell parts, just whole vehicles and he wants $2500 for them. They are pretty well rusted beyond repair at this point and only good for parts

You hit the nail - bam! that is the kind of language I can dig from you. That's how it is with me every time i found a real old-fashioned junkyard like that one above. These yards are getting rare year by year ... I was lucky enough to have seen quite a few ones on my trips.
I was maybe one of the last generation to have ever been in the Dime store - I remembered used to go to a little store where the old couple had many glass jars full of candy - I always love to buy a bag of strawberry marshmallow drops and gum drops at 2 cents each. At fifty cents was plenty enough for me! That store went closed a long time ago.
Is the old man's yard still up for you and fellow vanners to buy parts??

Re: Junk yard find !
The yard is closed.....But all I have to do is call him and he meets me there. I have been swamped at work for the Holiday season...I have some time off soon and plan on making a trip there. I will go thru this post and compile a list and get back to all...Thanks for your patience! Last time I spoke with him he wanted to sell the whole van or car for a reasonable price....just depends on whats on each one if the price is right. He is quite fair...the 64 chevy he wanted 200 bucks for and it has a sway bar and belly pan all the door hardware is still in tact ....

You are the best for finding this place.
I would be willing to get a trucker to come for the E100 5 window pickup.
The green one with the pin stripes on the side.
If nothing else, I need the doors, side rear glass and the rear glass...
If you need help, maybe we can set up a parting out party.
So we have a few members there to help with the heavies.
I'm sure other guys would like to join in on the fun.
Let me know when you are going to the yard and I'll take off of work and come down with my tools.
On a side note...Last night I picked up my wheels in a place called New Ringgol,PA. The guy told me of a place called EZ Pick a Part that had cars from the 30's still on the 6 acres of grounds. Here's the link from the air
