Do you mind me asking what you would pay for something like that in Norway?

I'm new to this site and by no means claim to be a vin decoder. By the picture it looks to be one of those rare Spring Specials. They were only produced May thru June of '65. I have been told by a reliable sourse there were 2000 to 2500 made. Some say only 95 were made, however, I haven't found any data to back that up. The closest I can come to the Vin # is:

    E10 - Econoline pickup
    T - 170 size engine
H - Lorain Ohio assembly plant
    687892 - May 1965 serial number
    090 - Wheelbase
    3 - Poppy Red paint
    E100 - 1/2 ton pickup model
D - Beige custom interior (Custom Equipment Package)
    87 - Pickup body style
    A - 3 Speed transmission
The last 3 numbers (031) Im not sure of, unless you meant to say 01 in which case it would be 3.50:1 light duty rear axle (7 inch)

Hope this helps you out. By the way, NICE looking truck!!

I re-checked, and the last 3 numbers are 031, the rear axle is a 9 inch, dunno if it's original.

Aaahhhh yes, you are correct on the 031, I stand corrected. I was looking at a Quick Sheet that I carry folded in my wallet and the crease was hiding the 3. Sorry about that, like I said in my earlier post " I'm not a vin decoder" Anyway, the 031 shows it's a 3:50:1 gear ratio, light duty rearend. You very well could have a 9 inch as somebody might have changed it, but, make sure it's a 9 inch. I know in my truckin travels I found one in a field and at first glance I thought it had a 9 inch when I looked under it, but when I got it home and took a closer look it was a 7 inch. They look similar but of course the 9 inch is bigger. In any case, the 7 inch would be more original and the 9 would be stronger if you plan on putting a larger engine in.

i'll have to tell my friend to take a new look at his rear axle, he is not planning to put a bigger engine in it, he will try to keep it as original as possible.
