Is the metal trim around the vent windows available? Mine is so deteriorated I cant even attach the locking mechanism.

On this same subject, is the rubber available for the vent window to body? Ours is completely dried out and falling to pieces. I`ve temporaily put aluma tape and painted it black to keep the water from getting in the door.

I assume you are talking about the vent window frame itself. If thats the case, what year is your Econo? I may have a good used one I can pull for you. Havent seen many new ones over the years available. The seal itself is available from Dennis Carpenter's but it's not a good fit. Hopefully Restoration Specialties version will be a better fit once they release it. Its in the process of being produced now.

You can also get the seals from MACs but I am not sure about the fit.

I have the seals. as well as the deluxe window kit macs offers. I believe I am talking about the frame. The trim that is actually attatched to the window that the lock attaches to. My van is a 65. I am assuming it would come with the window? Very interested in any options you could provide.

Looks like you need a new vent window assembly. I may have one in a parts truck that I could pull.

Tim, when do you think R-Specialties will have the new and improved seals?
Also, were you able to find the small lower clamp for the column?
    Thanx, Art

Im not sure when they will have the seals ready. I ll check with them the end of this month. I have the clamp and column jacket you asked about also. Just havent had much time lately working the past few weeks 6 days/ 60 hours each. What little time I ve had I have whittled away at the parts requests though. I ve got more stuff shipping out tomorrow. I had a few "big list of items" requested that I needed to get out.

It would be great if you could check the inventory. I am in need of both left and right for a 1965 econo van.

Tim, there is another item that I need besides the clamp, it is the horn contact? Not sure if that is the right name for the part, it is spring loaded and makes contact between the horn button and the brass plate under the steering wheel. Art
