gas tank straps

the passenger side gas tank strap broke apart due to corrosion. the tank didn't depart the van while i was driving home thankfully. i built new ones out of aircraft stainless. the rot happened on the back side of the straps so you cant really tell they are going. maybe a good thing to check on our vans. stick a prybar under them by the back bumper and see if they pop. the one that broke was less than paper thin, but you couldn't tell. the straps i built are stainless steel and they are a couple of gauges heavier than the stock ones.
