Vehicle Transport suggestions? Empty Vehicle Transport suggestions?

Post by Guest Mon Jul 19, 2010 5:12 pm

I bought the "64 panel van cheap!!" listed in 'G' Vans For Sale, so now I have a real reason for hanging out here...

350 Somalians for a nodoor is dirt cheap!
I figured it would be worth that, even if it turns out to be a 'learning experience'! lol!

So, does anyone have good 'Vehicle Transport Company' experience to relate?

I need to get the 'box' from Tacoma to Denver, asap.

    Thanks!

Yeah, I'm pretty stoked about it.
Been wantin' a nodoor since about 1970! Very Happy
It'll probably take awhile to get it all set up the way I want, a small block and an automatic, some nice paint and wheels, and get the interior done, but

    The Midnight Rambler

    will roll again! Wink

    WooHoo!

Mandos, glad you saved it! google auto transporters and call a few they range from total insane to a more realistic pricing....they will charge extra for a non running vehicle ( something about loading )...timing also plays a factor...if you are willing to wait for them to be in the area it saves you bucks...GOOD LUCK and congrats!!!!!

I used Kiwi Carriers on my last one. Kind of pricey but they did a good job. Around 1500 from San Francisco to west Ky.

I've used Cascade several times with good results. It cost me about $1000 to ship from CA to NH for the last one. Here's their info:

Vehicle Transport suggestions? Empty Auto transport

DAS shipped a motorcycle that I sold to a guy in Florida. Had a few problems but it was ok. I also shipped a mgb from California to Idaho. I did not know the company and it turned out really bad. What I found out is, dont deal with a transport broker, make sure you are talking to the transport company and dont pay the whole amount upfront. Also Ebay has some reccomended companies. Good luck!
