found in barn - 66 panel no door
cant wait to get it home. seems to be pretty solid shape but has not been started since 1985. it appears to be a ex air force base van. they sprayed primer over the lettering - no pictures yet- kicking my self for not bringing a camera with me because as soon as i left the farmer draged it out of there to make it easy for me. going back with a flatbed tuesday to pick it up

Re: found in barn - 66 panel no door
its a ford with a 170 engine in it. its pretty soliid a few holes on the rocker panels but the engine & master clylinder is locked up.someone suggested mixing tranny fluid & WD-40 and filling clyinder and crankcase and let it soak awhile. i guess it cant hurt to try. i already droped the gas tank and cleaned it out. next is the carb and lines

Re: found in barn - 66 panel no door
I put tranny fluid in an early 80's buick once that had sit for ten years.... stopped by every day with a 24" pipe wrench and tried to work it... it broke loose after about 3 days and I continued to work it back and forth the rest of the week before I tried to start it... smoked on the first start until it burnt the tranny fluid but ran good after that.... just my experience... oh, and by the way... Welcome from West Virginia!!!
