These Mfg's are gonna think there's a wild demand on these gaskets with all the sales recently.

Re: 1ST Gen WindShield gasket
But we have changed directions,,,,,,,the last 2 places sent us 64-66 Chevy pick up gaskets that were too big,,,,,,,so this time we are just going after a WBL 653 and see if it fits,,,,,,,,sure wish it was not made in Taiwan,,,,,,even though it says Precision on it,,,,,,,,,

Re: 1ST Gen WindShield gasket
Back to just slap a 66 pick up gasket in,,,,,,,,,I tried the Truck shop gasket on a 2nd gen Windshield,,,,,Too small,,,,,,,,,so that gasket must be for a 1 1/2 Gen,,,,,,and both are too big for a 1st Gen,,,,,,,so I took some more measurements with those gaskets on a 1st Gen windshield,,,,,,,and anyway you look at it,,,,,,,they are too big,,,,,,,I have a use for that Brothers 2nd Gen gasket but that Truck shop needs to be cut to use,,,,,,,unless we call them and see if they got a recall on their pick up truck gaskets,,,,,,,

64/66 chevy pick-up windshield gasket, I have used one fits
a lot better than the ones you have come up with, and i am
sure that they will let you return it if it won`t work.

Re: 1ST Gen WindShield gasket
Those 2 gaskets are from Brothers and TruckandCarshop,,,,,,,for a pick up,,,,,,don't know what their REAL part number is,,,,,,,,Vanish just ordered that WBL 653,,,,,,I will see how it compares to these 2 we got,,,,,, hopefully it fits, or ClassicTruck Parts will get the next order,,,,,,,,,,something changed with those pick up truck gaskets,,,,,,so we are just trying to figure out what,,,,,,,Maybe someone is mispackaging the pick up gaskets,,,,,,,maybe thats the new way of doing business to save costs,,,,,,1 size fits all,,,,just cut and glue,,,,,,,or maybe we can find an old one that just plain fits!!!!

Re: 1ST Gen WindShield gasket
YA! baby! Well all your effort certainly proved one thing, That the part # WBL 653 is what fits the first gen.
Mine was a wbl653 and fit right but it came in a different bag. Mine came in a clear plastic bag with a small whiye sticker bareing the part number only. I presumed mine to be an offshoe production and the guy at whetherstrip connection told me they all come from (throught) Pressision rubber products.
Glad that worked out in the end, we appretiate all your effort.

Re: 1ST Gen WindShield gasket
The only thing it proves is that things change,,,,,,you can't depend on things staying the same,,,,,,,,,now I got 3 gaskets here that are listed for a 64-66 Chevy pick up from 3 different places and they are 3 different sizes,,,,,,

Re: 1ST Gen WindShield gasket
Don thats been my point all along; Many suppliers just go with what their supplier are telling them, and the original suppliers listing is wrong so they all get it wrong.
The 64 to 66 PU gasket would fit if the suppliers had their numbers right but many have it wrong.
So that's why I say forget about ordering it for the PU because most suppliers have that all wrong.
We need to order the gasket by part number only; and the correct number is WBL653

Re: 1ST Gen WindShield gasket
And I would have to say that this W466 std that Brothers says is for a 64-66 Chevy pick up is really for a 2nd Gen,,,,,,
