I have a GM Monojet Rochester I just pulled from my 68 G10 that has an L6. Before I pulled the engine I had to thump the Carb Bowl to unstick the float, then it would run fine. With a rebuild kit this should be a good one. The engine was pulled earlier this year, so the carb hasn't been sitting that long.

Numbers I found on the side of the Carb.
7043847 (Written in a circle in the first picture)
43862 (Found on the middle section)
7029007 (Written on the side of the bowl in the second picture)
173 2 IH (Written on the side of the bowl in the second picture)

    I need a GOOD carb 312I need a GOOD carb 414

    I need a GOOD carb 514I need a GOOD carb 613

Maybe a little blury, if you want better I can provide them..

The Rochester B was the 1st carb used,,,,,then the Carter YF,,,,then the Rochester MonoJet on the 6 cylinder engines,,,,,,,,Automatics were a little more particular on which carb you used, but any of those will work as long as you choose the automatic or manual choke set up that you want,,,,,,,,,The big difference on the car and pick up ones is that you might have to modify the throttle linkage at the carb,,,,,,,,,

I got one for my dodge A-108 van from them, bolted it on out of the box and fired right up. I had some distributer "issues" this spring and it is running rich right now, but I'm doing body work so adjustments are on the back burner. They were nice guys to deal with and shipped fast. I'll get another one from them when I am ready to put the motor back in my pickup project.

    Call this guy...

    Bubba's Hot Rod Shop

Great guy and has B's (and anything else you need) in stock. He also will convert your distributor to electronic igniton, and get rid of the points for you! He is very active on the HAMB, and has quite a shop.

    Tell him I sent you!!
