!989 2.9 V-6 and Trans swap

Ok,,,Been trying to stop the Rust on the 62.... BUT had a littl hiccup last weeek,,,,Had a heart attack,,,so that set stuff back.... But feeling pretty good now and redy to get on with it... My 62 is Non-running.... I have a 1989 Eddie Bouier ition Bronco 2.... 2 WD.... My son in law had it for a while, and it caught fire.... ,,,just burnt the harness a little bit... But thinking of changing out the motor, trans.... and electrics....Van still has the old 200 in it with a 3 speed manual...

Just wondering if anyone ever messed with this swap?

That swap shouldnt be to difficult with the right resources and some time!

the 2.9 should be a good fit if i'm correct is a pretty narrow angle v6 so you wouldn't have the width headaches of the v8s. is the bronco auto or manual and is it fuel injected or carbed? this could be cool good to hear your doing ok

it is a 1989 Bronco 2----EFI.... the 2.9 isnt too wide, and shes automatioc...Im pretty sure Ill have to work the drive shift,,,,but the electronics and wiring harness and all should not be too bad to splice on up... we will see...
