Laughing the po put a 3;08 in her. also i pick up a couple hundred rpm when i come off a highway run. any one want to buy a real nice van Laughing

    Have a buddy go for a ride for a few blocks with you. You following him!

    Bring a "sharpie" marker with you and put a little tic-mark at each speed on the glass of your speedo. This way you can clean it later...

    1st block= 25 mph
    2nd block= 35 mph
    3rd= 45 mph
    4th= 55 mph

    Then get on the highway for a short run at highway speed.

    Takes about a half an hour but sure beats the cost of a city/ state patrol's official test!

    Any body with a hand held GPS or some cell phones will display your ground speed.

    My speedo is way off also, this is kind of guessing but when the speedo is at 70 I think I'm about 55 mph,, some people pass me ( real hard to let them do that) and some don't, at 75mph they stay behind me. Brings me to another Q, do you have to change out the entire tail shaft and housing to get the right (or closer) speedo drive gear combo ona 700r4 ?
