wheel size for A 68 A108

Does anyone here know how tall a set of wheels will fit on my 68? I want A wideer tire in the rear and am going for a look that will really fill up the wheel well in the van? I need to be able to drive everyday without tearing up anything...will make mods if I have too? Any help would be greatly appreciated...Rat

you runnin stock wheels or something wider 8.5" and up? i have a 2" block lift on both a's i own with 295/50R15 with i believe 12" cragars, i had some revrese firestone wheels on my 67 108 i think they were 255/60R15 they filled the wheel wells no lift blocks no rubbing.

You can also run a set of 275/60R15 on an 8" wheel in the rear.

with the 275/60/15s on 8 in is there any trimming that needs to be done?just wondering if they bottom out at all in the fender well?

None that I'm aware. My buddy Brian mostly uses 8" Mopar cop wheels with that size tire and they bolt right up..no problemos. Looks good too.

I know that on his A-108 King Cab pickup he has 7" on the front with that size tire and 8" with the wider tires on the back. I don't think Brian is on this site. I'll try and find a pic of the truck with those wheels.
