Re: What are you up to?
Digz, she is not one for speed ! One time we were on an air boat and the pilot asked if we liked exitement, Of coarse I said yes. She was ready to get off and swim back to the dock. LOL. It will be a learning exp for her for sure as she is always late for any thing she does. This will gat her here on time if she will drive it. I had her drive it with no doors , no glass on a cool day and she as still smilling from ear to ear !

Looks great Lester, Glad the rear-end worked for you. Let me know when you ready for a road-trip, maybe we can meet halfway for lunch.

Re: What are you up to?
The white 66 is getting the Jaguar rear end and the 454. It will let me slide the engine back without worrying about a drive shaft issue. LOL ,,Thats the plan anyway.

Re: What are you up to?
I found it on craigslist, up by Alpena. It was listed a year ago for more $ and came up again low enough to get my attention. It seems to be a pretty easy set-up to adapt. I saw one stuffed under a Cuda about a year ago and I liked the look. The bolt pattern should be the same as a chevy, just the studs are 1/2" instead of 7/16". I still have to get it out of the truck (tomorrows plan) and get it in the shop for a good look over. It uses coil over shocks for suspension, Im thinkin' air. Its already got disc brakes on it also. I'm sure it needs some TLC but I havent run into anything that hasnt yet !

Re: What are you up to?
A Jag rear end would really set your van apart from all others, not that the 454 wouldn't do that all by itself LOL

Re: What are you up to?
All new stocks are:
Fronts: $145ea. (6-Leaf)
Rears: $165ea. (7-leaf)
Bushings: $20 (Front & Back for all four Springs)
Shipping: $70 (From Mi. to Fl.)
I had them add a seventh leaf on the fronts and add an extra 1" arch to all of them so that cost a bit extra...
