Take your time on it Dan, you will be your own worst critic when it is done, We rushed things some to get the shop cleared out and missed a few factory spot weld divits here and there, They bother me more than anybody else !

I know what you mean Joe.Something unnoticeable or insignificant to others will drive a builder up the wall.And Dan will probably have no fingerprints left to be had (a good thing,lol) by the time he gets through rubbing those panels.I'm just glad he has good straight grill bars to work with.Coming around great Dan-O.

You guys are both right. If you remember this van was a Coca-Cola delivery van and there are millions of little dings everywhere! Ended up wiping several whole panels with mud and block sanding back down to metal again leaving little mud filled dent dots everywhere. It's alot of work but comes out nice when your done...

Hey Dan, thats what I had been doing for months. Spent a lot of time to get ripples some what smooth. Let me know when you can make it over. May be done sanding and buffing in a week or so if the doctor visits slow down a bit.

Been driving the Surfwagon daily..so thought I would spend some time on my other project. The 54 Chevy truck. Been doing all the work myself so its been a slow process. A complete frame off restoration. Today was the Day!!!! Started it for the first time! Some pictures of my labor and a youtube link to the first start. Now the Body work begins.

Went down by MIS brooklyn MI yesturday and scored some PT Cruiser seats to try in my van. Needed something more adjustable if I wanna make it to the Nats next year.

The guy I got them from also has a ford 9" rear end and a separate pumpkin for one with 3.50 gears if anyone down that way needs one.

Just cleaning up around the house today! Getting ready for the big Labor Day BBQ starts at 4PM. 20 lbs. of Burgers, 15 lbs of Chicken, 6 full racks of beef ribs, a ton of HotDogs and enough beer to get the whole town drunk! A few of the guys coming over a 1pm to help get things rollin! Heading out to mow the lawn now.....

Rolled the econo out so I could tidy up the huge mess in the garage. Weather is turning cool here so soon I will be back on the project full time.

Yes! Very nice....

Spent most of Friday wet sanding and buffing. Coming along nicely. Not a good thing to be doing in 90 degree heat.
