I'll leave that scary stuff to the pros ! I'm lookin' for the sound. I'm seriously thinking of putting it in the Orange van and stuffin the lil one and a 350TH I have in one of the others. That 66G came with a 2nd gen lid and a radiator lower mt, I got a doghouse from Gotavan , a lil crusty but rebuildable, or my DH is bolted in and can be changed out. Still thinking about it all.

Well Joe the cruising season is about over so that leaves all winter to put the 454 in the orange van and be on the road by spring. Gonna have to make it like the dodge boys and mount a weight in the back, and add a leaf in the front.

Going to be finding out for myself about heater cores, Mine decided to give up on a gas and smokes run this evening, was hoping to bomb around some in it this weekend, No real shock, it was one of a few possibly 45 year old parts left on the van.

Spent yesterday helping a friend assemble a 1964 Chrysler 300. Putting on trim, bumpers, spraying the wheelwells to cover overspray, pulling out the seats to reinstall the rear armrests and swapping carbs (long crossram).
Got a lot done and it's really starting to look complete.
Just needs a few more items checked off the list. Chrome upper strip on the driver's door, fix the radio, and a good detail.
Looks like this except it has a maroon interior.

Well Panelmanrd - your words kept ringing in my head to not hestitate to finish this paintjob. It's not perfect, but how many guys can say they're first paint job was? A few runs to fix and some bugs. I'm happy with it because my van is just a clean driver to have fun with. G-man I thought of you yesterday - while cleaning my paint gun & drinking a beer, Creedence came on the 200 disc CD player so I cranked it up real loud.

On another note...here is a shot of that 67 Chevy Van seen at the Brookland truck show recently in Florida. It is owned by a good friend originally from Ohio and a member of Buckeye Van Association, now living there in Florida! His name is RV! He by-the-way, took best in class in an all truck category and won some $$$ as well! Congratulations RV!

G-man - there are runs. The camera is just being kind to me. Has anyone ever wetsanded and buffed urethane? I could use some advice. Such as which grit to start and end with. Someone told me recently that you should do this process within a week after spraying or the paint becomes harder to polish. Any truth to this myth?

67A100 - I've drilled those same spot welds on a '70 A-100 dash. Also on a '64 Chevyvan. Lot of work to get that pearl isn't it?
