I removed this to replace the seal. Does it just get torqued down to a certain foot #? I couldn't seem to find it in my manual 67 econo 3 speed manual. Im also gonna change the pinion seal while the driveshaft is out. I know from past experience that the pinion nut has to be tightened down just so-so not too tight and not too loose to set the lash right on the gears.

Is this true on the tailshaft of the econo as well? I can see a bearing in there. Thanks, this baby is coming along.
