Thanks for the replies. What ticks me off is that I live out in the "boonies" and my home is one of the very few you can actually see from the road; all other homes are set back and hidden. Some of these people have something against "renters" because I don't hear of them complaining about the other homeowners. My landlord, God bless him, went toe to toe with the association president, asking him is every home was going to be inspected, yada yada yada. lol. So, I'm going to cover the van and my boat and hopefully they'll back off.
In the meantime, I like the idea of the cover for the Beetle. I'm going to buy "cheap" because I HAVE to get this thing up and running so my son can drive it to school by the time his senior year starts in August. Once it's running and painted, they can't say crap.
thanks for the info and letting me 'vent'.

Is it the van in your profile shot? People pay for that look. Put a clear coat on the bad mother and tell them you paid 30k for it from Gas Monkey Garage!!

If you can get a phone number off one of the old links , call them. or any of the low dollar sites. might save some aggravation.

I placed my order by calling them, they walked me through it all in 10 min. I recall them being familiar with the vehicle, shape and size...In fact, if you request a catalog it also gives you step by step instructions how to custom order a cover (I know because after buying it they now send them to me- actually a cool catalog too.)

Yes, that's the van in my profile photo. However, it's now on 2 jack stands with the front end and wheels off during a kingpin and disc brake upgrade. I'll give those places a call to get a quote and pick one up if its reasonable
    thanks everyone
