Re: wiper motor
I think the working class people only got a 1 speed- FAST. The SportVans got a 2 speed with window washers on it,,,,,I put a variable delay on my 1 speed for when I turn my wipers on every 3 years or so,,,,,,,,

Re: wiper motor
California got a good taste of Oregon last week,,,,,,But those 1 speed wipers either are too fast or 2 slow,,,,,,,and when they get old, I guess they slow up,,,,,,But I would think that maybe the problem is that the linkage needs lubing and probably the motor is not getting enough power from the fuse box and switch,,,,,,,maybe try to run 12 volts from the Doghouse or battery right to the motor and see if it gets faster,,,,,,,,

1 vs. 2 speed wiper...
was trying to figure out how to lube the wiper arm bearing posts (whatever they are called). If I had a drill press I'd probably install zerks and grease them. All I can figure to do is soak the assemblys in oil and hope it soaks in. Then, I suspect, my wipers will be fast. Am thinking of hooking up another, redundant, switch for power to wipers and running it thru a ballast resister (one typically on for coils). Then, I figure, I'll have not only two circuits to keep them running but also two speeds. Wish me luck :-)

Re: wiper motor
Rain-X works well. I swapped my one speed for a two speed. Its an improvement. I think vaccume powered wipers work better than single speed wipers!
