Sorry if this has been answered already, I couldnt find it?
I've read in other posts you guys refer to 1st and 2nd gen doors? They different?
Also are the rear doors and side doors the same? Interchange?
I am thinking of finding replacement side doors and would love to know what interchanges?
Thanks guys, This site has already answered tons of questions for me!

Front door sheet metal is the same ,first gen doors have the door lock in the door handle second gens have the door lock below and I think 68 to 70 second gens have the marker lights and the door latch relays inside the doors are different , cargo doors are all the same. Bill

Bill is correct about the doors. The 67 second gen front doors have the lock below the door handle but they don't have the marker lights. All of the doors will interchange between 1st and 2nd gens. 68 thru 70 have different interior handles than the 67 and 1st gens. 2nd gens have different interior arm rest than the 1st gens.

Awesome!, So a rear/side door is a rear/side door, That will make the hunt that much easier. Dont know if I wanna take the time and fill a window and straighten two doors or replace with clean ones? Comes down to money or time I guess. AND of course finding the doors, Boneyards here always seem to have it when your not looking, but never when ya do need it!!
Aleast we dont have to deal with rust!

Lots of luck finding solid cargo doors. That's one of the most sought after items for the early's.

Well,,,, side doors are a better deal ,,,,,,the rears have holes and bumps in them for the license plate and light,,,,,so they are not exactly the same,,,,,,you just might have to work harder to make it look good if you don't find the exact door,,,,,,,

Some of the rear & side cargo doors have the built-in door stops. I have seen them on a couple of 67 Chevy vans. Anyone know what year they started using them,or if it was just an option? Brad

That is a rear door stop off a Cherokee,,,,,,I use them on my front doors,,,,I have only seen the straps,,,,,so we shall see if anybody has something else other than the straps,,,,,,,I would think those metal ones would be trouble when you wanted to undo them to open the door all the way,,,,,,
