It's kind-a funny to see, what people drive on a daily basis, if it's not their VAN anyway.

I'll start that, as a change will happen in my car pool soon Smile

Currently, it's a leased BMW X5 xdrive4e (that lame duck hybrid). I won't post a pic, as it will be returned next May.

But I already got my ass covered with a much nicer, more stylish accomodation to travel from-to work and such.
A Chrysler LeBaron Medallion Coupe, built 1979. It's an original Europe Export with just 72.000 km (yes, that's approx. 45.000 miles, only!). Absolutely mint condition. It has the same 318 as my little truck... Smile

My DD is a 96 Volvo 850 turbo wagon, when everything is working it's a fun car- but when it's not...
I'll not be owning another. It does have the planet's most durable check engine light bulb though.

My daily driver is a New Toyota Tacoma. First brand new vehicle I've bought since I bought a 1989 Chevy Z24 Convertible. The only reason I bought the Tacoma is they gave me 18k trade-in on my slightly beat up 2012 4Runner. What's your daily - aside of the VAN... 34025t10

I guess I am a vanner at heart.

I want to see more! I like that Thing and the Chrysler but want to see more of what we vanners drive.
I haven't owned a car in some years, my wife has a Subaru forester that I actually find uncomfortable more than 10 minutes at a time.
My last car I sold in '95 was an '85 t-bird that felt small to me, compared to the '75 it replaced it was.
I like the space around me that a van or pickup offers, a van being most practical for me to work out of, the cars I like being older, turn into a project of their own.
So far everyone that posted either a restored older ride or a newer van/ truck. How many of us drive a newer, say 15 years or less car?

But it is supposed to be true (if you trust wikipedia).

First article is in German - so, short summary: the first paragraph refers to the different model names around the world. In the US it was sold as the VW Safari. Nicknamed "the thing". Smile

The second article (English) says the same (last paragraph under "history")

My dailys are my burbans mainly my 2010 but will be rolling my 03 burban more often which I did today she has almost 698k miles so I've been rolling the 07 and 2010 and had her parked to give her a break, I've towed at least 3k vehicles with her all these years so she deserves a break. I have an 06 magnum wagon I'm doing an LS swap in and an 84 camaro z28 as well besides my 2 vans I want a black 2015-2020 burban as my next daily to add to my fleet.  I don't like, want or feel  comfortable driving small golf carts they try and call cars I'd rather spend more money on gas and drive what I like and want but I'd love to have a black 95 or 96 impala ss or 65 or 66 chevy impala,Belair,Biscayne  or caprice wagon as a daily and working on buying the latter (66 wagon)What's your daily - aside of the VAN... 20220410

Nice F100! I'll show that to my uncle for his incoming F100 project. The new brake pads and tires from 4Wheelonline will be installed this week. Bed mods will be next.
