I concur but why electric? Not against em got one on my V dub BeasTrike to switch to aux travel tank, but the old mechanical pumps are good stuff, came with a sediment glass bowl and less tax on the generator all things considered..

usually the mechanical pumps are somewhat $$ yet Id really only use them as then you dont have to remount & adjust fuel pressures & its way easier to install!!

Someone had changed my PU over to electric before I bought it & now it has gone out. Don't know what the pressure is so I thought that I axe the experts. So I should get a 4-lb pressure pump? Thanx Much!

most =INEXPENSIVE == elect pumps are not pressure adjustable!! Theyre set for the carbed engines. Install & forget. If you are looking @ one that is adjustable-likely its expensive one or you might need a pressure regulator. Now - That being said -id still get the oem mechanical pump & do away with the electric stuff!

Any recommendations on a mechanical pump brand? Do they just plug in the side of the block?
