Do you get tired of ordering parts only to find that what the catalogs says should fit, doesn't?

Then you get stuck with the return shipping charges for some body because of some one else's mistake. And of course you still don't have the part you need.

The only winner is the shipping company.

To kick this off here is part number 1

Rock Auto lists this transmission mount for the 240 six 3 speed manual:

Parts that don't fit the Econoline. A2327__ra_p

    Of course it doesn't fit.

And then after lots of folks return the part because it does not fit, they still keep advertising that it will fit. Rolling Eyes

We have a Car Quest store here, Ma and Pa owned, I've gotten lots Econo parts all good. Years ago the said they could get a rebuilt 67 MC, not now but have the rebuild kits.. A Few week ago said they could get a new or rebuilt 170 carb @ $170, I went for a rebuild kit, even asked what carb I had.
NAPA is next We have 2 big box auto stores with kids and soon to have a Rock Auto between Myers and Wally Land.

That IS the mount for a 68 Econoline 240 manual or automatic and fits up to 74.  Rock auto is an excellent source as they give detailed pictures and so sometimes I look it up before I go to a local auto parts store,, LOL>...
I have some in stock if you cannot locate it, however here is a link for one that has been on E bay for at least a couple of months and very cheap....

Here is Rock Auto's listing for the correct mount,, it was very easy when you use the correct year??  I simply used 1966 as a mid year for the lates and no other listings except for the correct one<< LOL

You might notice that the listing at this point is correct for the 170 and there is no listing for the 240. I have them convinced the 240 listing was wrong but not yet convinced that the mount shown for the 170 is correct (for 240). I ordered the mount as shown and I am going to take a picture of it and send it to them so they cans see that it fits. They did pull the incorrect listings.

Perhaps I am confused as to what you are now saying..   However,,,,
Its very simple,,,,,  ALL 1965 to 1967 transmission mounts for either the 170 or 240 regardless of  automatic or stick shift are one and only one mount. Having nothing to do with the size of the motor.
ALL 1968 to 1974 transmission mounts are also the same as each other however of course different than the 1965 to 1967 mounts. Beginning in 1968 there still was a 240 motor option available until it was replaced with the 300 which still used that mount.
SO,,,, if you are looking for a transmission mount for a 240 for a 1965 to 1967 Econoline, it can ONLY BE the mount I posted and NOT for a 1968 240... Again,,  the transmission mount for the 1968 to 1974 Econolines being the one you posted a picture of and ALL of those years using that same mount for the 240, the 300 and the 302 V8 with either the 3spd or the C4.
If you look up a transmission mount for a 1965 to 1967 240 it will be the same as a 1965 to 1967 170 as they are the same mount....

As I figured,,,  just looked up a transmission mount on Rock Auto however this time,, looking under 1968 Econoline with a 240 and got this ONE and only listing which is the same as the picture posted.
Of course it will be wrong as I looked it up under the wrong year. It being the same and only mount used for either the auto or the 3 spd manual.

    Everything you said is correct.

They had the '68 to '74 mount listed as being correct for the 240 for '65 '66 and '67.

At the time I ordered the part there was no image in the listing.

I contacted Rock Auto and told then them they had an error in the catalog.

After verifying what I told them was correct, they pulled the listing for the '68 and up style mount for all Econoline '65 '66 and '67 applications with the 240 six.

The way the Rock Auto site works is that you select the make, then the year, then the model, then the engine size. IF you do this for Ford, 1966, Econoline, 4.7L 240cid L6, and then select manual transmission, you will see they don't have any listing for a mount. I am trying to show them that the mount listed for the 170 is also correct for the 240 application.

In order to show them that the 170 mount fits the 240 I have ordered one and I am sending them pictures so they can fix the catalog.

The '68 Econoline style mount was used on the '67 F100 with 240 or 300 six and I believe that is were the problem is coming from.
