62 Econoline pickup gas tank Empty 62 Econoline pickup gas tank

At the last job I had, at A hot rod shop which shall not be named, my boss was letting me store my E pickup there. Well a few months ago I got fired and left the truck until I could get a new place/garage to store it.

When I picked it up today and gathered my parts I couldnt find the gas tank. He swore he had no idea where it went and he had nothing to do with it Evil or Very Mad

So i know they are like unicorns and cost the same as a gold brick. If it doesnt turn up what are some different options that you guys have used instead of the stock tank?

Research the forums. I know you can adapt a mustang tank to our epups with a little cutting and welding. In the end you'll have a new tank with more capacity! Good luck

I used a 65 ford falcon tank on mine, and put a fuel door from a chevy van in the floor of my pup.

I also moved the big heavy weight forward just enough to clear gas neck. and I put a vent tube like the one on the falcon. I have not had any problems at all with it.
