Well it's official. After a few years of on and off searching I purchased a '69 A108. I learned a lot from this website and want to thank everyone who has answered questions for me. The van is on it's way from San Francisco to RI as I type.

Well, my van arrived safe and sound from it's west to east coast trip. No problem with the shipping except a little blue RTV silicone got on the front of the nose somehow(above the G and E). ??? Can't complain about that. The trip took 9 days and I was happy with the service. I was surprised how well the van runs and drives. The seller did use it as a daily driver, but you never know buying sight unseen. I was amazed to find over 13K in repair bills that were performed in the last 3K miles. The girl I bought it from had it less than a year and said the guy she bought it from had a lot of work done to it but was a little vague about the details. Yay for me!!! Now I know why it drives like it does. Some of the work: re-manufactured 318, rebuilt 727, both warrantied but have to go to California, lol. Re-cored radiator with new hoses, re-cored heater core, new tires, complete brake job, tie rods, ball joints, drag link, leaf spring bushings, dual exhaust, recovered seats, etc, etc, etc. Now it's time for me to clean her up and give her the TLC it deserves.
