    3 Pt. Belt installed Sb_112

Cold here so time to get back into the shop and work on the Truck. I had these belts so started by welding blind nuts on the back side to ease the installation.

I moved the belt body around until I could use the double plate as a mounting point,
this is behind the front wheels underneath.

I placed the belts in the opening behind the seats, had to do a little adjustment to the inside wall but nothing extreme.

Next I wanted to reinforce the rear door pillar as this would be the pivot point and take the most stress in the event a crash were to occur.

After I got the reinforcement welded in I then added two bridges to stiffen the pillar

The attacement pivots all came out, I paced a seat in and the ran the belt to see where on the pillar I wanted the upper mount to be.

The cover also needed a little adjusting but the metal is really soft and easy to work.

Belts installed and working. Thanks to all of the previous posts from whom I grabbed Ideas and information. The hardest part was making sure that the seat belt body was set at the right angle to allow the belt to be extracted smoothly. Seemed like a couple of degrees of and the belt would not be released.
