Installing Padded Panels Empty Installing Padded Panels

Post by shadowdog Mon Sep 15, 2014 10:54 pm

    Hello,

I'm new to vans, but bought a 76 Chevy Sport Van. I am getting ready to do the interior. Can any one tell me how the padded panels are mounted? I don't see screws or anything holding them on...

I referring to wall panels like this

Any help would be great, thanks!

I would think they are held on using clips a lot like these.

    OR…

Use a wide flat putty knife to pry the bottom of the panel away from the metal part of the door. The panel might be held to the metal part of the door by means of several plastic grommets, attached to the back of the cardboard panel that fit into holes. Gently pop the grommets out of their holes, trying not to rip them out of the cardboard panel.
