How are you insuring your VV  , if used as a semi daily driver ? I bought my "early" intending to use it as a semi daily driver. all the big companys (hagerty/grundy etc) say no general usage. We do have a real daily driver (2002 PT Cruiser)  probably would drive less than 5000 miles a year. Retired/locked garage/age 57/no tickets/no claims.

I put Gieco on mine. Enough to be legal coverage. I drive it to much for the Classic stuff. Was running as a 3rd vehicle on my regular policy but they changed their policy and it got pricey.

I went with Nation wide combined with my home owners. I have a guaranteed value to cover replacement cost. Will have to get it appraised to increase coverage value when I get it all up to snuff.

We tried to do Hagerty with our van and two other old cars (1975/85 BMW). Because we only have one actual garage slot, they denied us. So we have them all insured with progressive. ..and even then, they wouldn't do anything other than liability/uninsured motorist for the van, being 1964.

Chubb Collector Car division, no mileage and/or use restrictions for classic cars, full replacement declared value coverage and same coverage as regular auto policy, less than $200 year....

I have always used Grundy on my Van's and Car's the only hitch is your van cant be used as a daily driver or a second vechial I pay around $200 dollars a year for 15k worth of insurance.!!!.But I dont think any "Classic Car" Insurance company will insure a Vintage Vechial as a "Daily Driver"..I have "State Farm" on my 1975 Chevy Van insured for 15k also and when I had a blowout last year and did 2k in damage (Paint/Body) they gave me a check the next day "No Problem" for around the same cost yearly and I can drive it when I want.. Smile .....

I have Grundy on my stuff too but I'm on their MVP program. It provides coverage for everything I drive. All are on a agreed value. Even my new vehicles. No depreciation on them. My 61 pickup has no milage limits but it can't be used for a daily driver. I can take it to work occasionally and make runs out for ice cream and such. My 67 pickup is also insured for an agreed amount and it can be used for daily transportation. I have my 2011 F 150, 2012 Escape, 03 Mustang Mach 1, 97 Winnebago, 91 F 150, 72 Honda trail 70, My car trailer,  67 Econoline pickup, 61 Econoline pickup. All for about $2500 a year. We were over $4000 when we had them on individual policies and that didn't include the Honda and the 67 pickup. The Mustang was $1000 a year by it's self. It's on a collector car policy now with the same limitations as my 61 pickup but that's what I wanted. I don't drive it except on perfect days. In ten years it's went 9200 miles. It now cost $300 a year and if anything happens I get full value. No depreciation.
