Re: Tie Rod bar bent?
Are you referring to the drag link? Here's a link with pics. Hopefully, this will help you out.

Re: Tie Rod bar bent?
I think your referring to the spindle connecting rod. I don't think it should look like that, but I've had a few beers, I'll refer to mine in the AM

Re: Tie Rod bar bent?
It's the bar that each Tie Rod End connects to. I already have a new drag link and sway bar mounts from rare parts, great place vanny.

Re: Tie Rod bar bent?
That is the CenterLink,,,,,it connects the 2 tie rods together and you adjust the toe in with it and it aint supposed to be bent,,,,,however,,,,a lot of them are from people running a floor jack under the van when lifting it up and catching on it or lowering it on a jack stand .........

Re: Tie Rod bar bent?
Thanks Donivan! I wasn't really sure if it was made like that or not. Now I need to figure out a way to get it bent back

Blow torch and a vice should sort that out.

Re: Tie Rod bar bent?
The passenger side has left hand threads in it so you kind of need a tie rod screwed in to protect the threads,,,,I dont think that center link is very tough,,,,,maybe put a block of wood under the tie rod,,,,,use a hydraulic jack under the bumper to jack the bend down into place.....it don't have to be perfect,,,,

Re: Tie Rod bar bent?
I was thinking pretty much the same thing. Put the old tie rod end back in use a jack instead of heat at first. Been working all weekend and hopefully should be able to get to it tomorrow.
