Thanks, I will make a note of those areas, the kid said that the interior is trashed too. the condition of the inside doesnt really matter, I think I will have to do some fab work to get the Road King to fit in it.

The kid just contacted me about he van. I'm on call and cant leave the mountain till Tuesday, and I told him that. I also told him that if someone comes over the weekend and wants it that cash is king and do what you have to. He was just letting me know that he still has it, (now the mistake) and that he had a few calls and that knowone ever came and looked at it and that I could have it for $1000 now. I think he REALLY wants it gone! lol!

No-doors must be pretty common in your area... Ford drivetrains are a dime a dozen anywhere on the planet, surely that isn't your only reason for flopping on this one(totalled drivers side, funny smell?). I'd be happy to give $500 just for the pass side sheet metal from that van!

    How bad could it be?

Its a project van and not really what I am looking for. It will need a COMPLETE redo, its worth $500 to me cause it will tke 100's of hours to make road worthy IMO. The interior will require a hazmat suit to remove and its more that I want to take on. If I already had a driver, I would have picked it up to play with, but I need a van-P/U thats close to a driver not a project.....sorry.

I didn't mean for that to sound like a slam or anything. I read this thread this morning for the first time and the excitement built up as I kept reading and then, well, I was let down for you and the van. Really meant no harm. I'm a smarta$$ in real life Twisted Evil but I try to play nice online since those on the other end cannot hear the tones or see the expressions Laughing .

Hope you find the one you're looking for, maybe Mike will keep this one in good hands.

I agree............I would love to pick it up for a project, just dont have the room and have to many other vehicles that need to go first!

No slam taken....just cant do it right now.

Well guys it seems that I may pickup the no-door afterall. I sold my bucket today, so I have a little cash to put into a van. So a project isnt as much of an issue anymore. I will call the guy this week and see if we can make a deal. It may be gone, but the add is still running.

The Bucket was fun, but I think the "van" will be funner! You can drive it in cold and the rain. Very Happy

I still really like that no-door . I have only seen limited pics but 1000 doesn't seem that bad. There just aren't many of those around anymore.I think it may be time to pull the trigger on this one kowboy !!!

I have to deliver the bucket on Friday to the guy........so I will have a car trailer on the Dodge already. I think I will tell him that I'll be by to "take another look". I'll probably bring a grand, but will show 800 in cash and beg, you know since I already have the trailer and all. The wifes not to keen on it since it has the Cleveland and all. I'm not sure if the 351 will work with the whole "Harley Hauler" thing thats planned for it, but we'll see

Give the guy $1000 and pull that 351 and sell it. You surely can get $200 for that motor and you will be at the $800 price you want.
