,,,,day 21 on the road,,,,,put about 800 miles on the cycle cruising around Chicago,,,,and here is some of todays sights,,,,,so the cycle is loaded up,,,,ready to head back West tomorrow,,,,,,

What kind of a plant was that with all those concrete cylinders?

Thats an old grain storage building,,,,if you watch Chicago PD on TV,,thats where they dump the bodies,,,,

Now that you say that, it's kinda got that look to it...Looks like you could store quite a bit of grain or bodies in them.   

,,,,I did see one Early out here,,,,a Yellow Dodge Van up with a black stripe on the rear quarterpanel......

When I saw that this van listing was in Chicago and it was deleted by author, I thought that maybe you had made a purchase while visiting Chicago!

My van is all I need,,,,,so I plan on being near Joplin, Missouri tonight.....

Them bugs are like etched in the paint and glass,,,,,,I need a better plan like Rain Ex and cooking spray,,,,,they aint going to be easy to get off,,,,and it is stormin in Tulsa......

my gas gauge gave up,  so the whole trip has been guessing how much gas I have,,,,,but I know all my gas stops,,,,,Big storms in Oklahoma City,,,,,,,,on my way to Texas tonite,,,,,,

Good news is it looks like most of the bugs have disappeared from your windshield...

Those bugs look like they were "love bugs"    little black things with red butts flying joined in pairs...? I remember in Texas they swarmed in May and September, like a cloud! and the dead ones smashed and dried on my van (or any other vehicle) smelled like dead fish   

We have Love Bugs here in Florida they come out in April and September they were introduced in Gainsville to Eat mosquito's but all they Eat is the Paint off if your Van or Car if you don't wash them off with in a Few days.. Coming back from a Truckin in Daytona last month the front of my Wifes White van was Black from hundreds of them and they DO stink.... Cooking Spray is the best way to keep them from sticking and ruining your Paint...  ..Drive Safe Don.......

Hey Don, another trip for the history books. I liked those photos you took of the abandoned buildings, especially the one where you could see the downtown skyscrapers in the distance.

I'm returning to San Diego tomorrow (Wed) night. I wanted to check out that red show van in person while I was here in Minnesota but he sold it. I went to high school with the guy who did that custom paint job.

day 24 on the road........sitting in a truckstop in Winslow, Arizona,,,,,,should be home tomorrow if I can get by the Arizona fires,,,,,,
