Post by playnpossum Mon Feb 17, 2014 2:16 pm

Purchased a 69' A100 last year, it spent its life in the military and as a fire truck. In making the van more dependable for travel I'm replacing belts, hoses & bushings. I'm having trouble locating the transmission mount, I have a short tail shaft 727 with the mount boss molded into the tail shaft. Can anyone give me help sourcing these parts?
Thanks in advance for any help,

@dix sure I would be interested. Can you send me the link and maybe a pic? The van is a late year production 69', original owner was the marine corps. Do you know if they had alot of these vans?

Wow, this is my first day on VV and I've already found a part i was having trouble finding, made a few new friends, and saw some righteous vans...not to mention enjoying the comments about my A. A little more info about the van, it's a 318 auto with 391 gears. The van started its life in the Marine Corps, from there it served as a firemen in Anderson, SC. Then it was purchased by a man who owned a company that made Judson carpet cleaners. I purchased the van last year. Recently, i replaced all belts and hoses, valve seals, alternator, and thanks to this forum, i will be replacing the transmission mount. For those of you wanting pictures, i'll post as soon as i can. Looking forward to learning more about these vans and you guys. Deuces!

Still hauling ass down 85... but not lately with all the salt everywhere, when it s dry absolutely. Finishing the suspension, ready to try my hand at kingpins, and gathering parts for a V8 swap I hope during summer. Just trying to preserve it as best I can for bodywork time.
Gotta get together some time and check out that van!
