I am in the market for a new set/used set of rims for my 66. Question, what are you guys running on your dodge vans? Any pictures you have would be helpful. Thanks

I've got Keystones: 15x6 rims w/215/65-15 on the front and 15x8 w/255/60-15 on the rear. Plenty of clearance on the rear and the tires sidewall height and bulge match pretty good.

maybe its just me but the difference in stance between a 14' and 15' rim looks huge on these vans. I'm really torn between the vintage look and the "hot rod" look.

You could have a set of both. A set of old school rims (even some poverty caps on stock rims) along with regular tires wouldn't be that expensive and looks pretty good, and you can always find some aftermarket rims on ebay or locally with a set of beefier tires and not have thousands sunk into wheels? Another idea, one I've thought of just for laughs: Go to one of those "Rent-A-Rim" places and have them install some 20's or bigger for a week or so!  clown

I removed 2 leaf springs from all corners, it still handles fine and rides better.

I was just thinking about wheel/tire size too. I am seriously considering 15x8 R, 15x7 F Chrysler rally wheels from wheels vintique. I'd run them with no rings or caps, just some nice SS lug nuts. The other option is regular widened steelies with dog dish caps, but my caps wount fit as for as i know, I would need the smaller ones. I like either option but those rallye's are really calling my name...

I like the 255/60/15 LWS has on the back of his. Front look good too, but i think I want to go with 7" Fronts (if they fit OK?) and maybe some 225 or 235/60/15. I realize they will make steering at stop a bit harder, but i always try to turn while rolling anyway, think I can live with it.

I'd love to see more pics of 15x8 rear and and or 15x7 front! And open to recomendations on tire sizes

    Thanks,

    Mark

You may want to go to whatever tire manufacturers website and find the specs on the tires you're considering, where you can compare width, sidewall height, diameter, etc. for front and rears. That way you'll know which ones to consider that will give you the stance you're after.

I use Cooper Cobra's, here's their specs. Most other brands are generally the same give or take a fraction or so.

I just got my new wheels and tires yesterday. 15" x 7" Crager 323 chrome smoothies with push through bullet center caps and bullet lug nuts. The tires are 215/75/15 whitewalls.

if you are trying to look at a tire for a stance then try this site to compare heights and such. this link can be found on the a100 parts link here,

So true about handling. Here's what i ended up with. Removed beat up stock 15" rims/wheels..New fronts 14x7 with 225/60 and rear14x8 235/60..all four BfGoodrich TA's on a set of US(?)slotted mags then per Dodge Man i removed two leafs on each corner then re pinned. I then took it to the shop for alignment. Drives so much better. I can actually put my foot in to it around corners now without the oh shit tilt factor. Sits exactly how i wanted it to. Any thoughts on shocks? Thanks again guys for the tips and such.

For now i went with the bottom two. My plan is to have a company here in town(national spring) re make me a proper spring pack to accommodate its new stance. regardless i'm not experiencing any issues thus far and loving its new found "attitude"
