Post by billski Mon Jun 16, 2014 6:57 pm

I talked to Joe Madonia today as well. I am really excited to have him there with his van memorabilia. There will be lots of great stuff to buy, bid on, win, etc. I am hoping we can set up to take some pictures from the roof of Baker's in order to capture all of the vans. I am bringing my digital camera but won't have too much time to take pictures. Any and all help in picture taking/posting would be greatly appreciated. And Virtual, if it helps I'll push you over the fence to get you to show up. lol. I will also need help selling 50/50 tickets. Baker's always has their 50/50 Raffle and we have our own. But Chris Baker told me that if we help sell tickets to the participants of the whole show he will donate the proceeds of the raffle to the Hatswell family, which is very generous of him. See you ALL Sunday. Bill

Sounds like another good Baker's party at Deb's again which means the Econo guys *may* be fashionably late as usual. I try to get em rollin early but those late Saturday nights take their toll.

Ok I got the all clear to go to Bakers. I'll make it one of my priorities to get the Econoheads there on time so they can be in the group picture ... even Alpine Smile. Let's plan on doing the group picture early. I can only stay until about noon as I have a dinner in Toronto I've been told I must be at. So I'll try to get to Bakers a bit earlier Sunday to help with parking as well.

See everyone there. Was advised last fall to stay at the campground, so made reservations there. Also not driving any of My Earlies and pulling a Burro for the Wife.

I'm good with anyone who wants to buy a dash plaque whether at Baker's or not. We can make arrangements to get them mailed out but won't be till after the show. We can hold some aside for mail-sales. Just got confirmation for a "surprise" G-Man and I had been working on. If all goes well it will be a nice addition to our Van Show. And G-Man's family plans on attending as well - another great addition to the show. See you all in a few days!

What is an approximate schedule of events?
I might have to arrive a little late, or leave a little early.

Approximate times: 10-11:30 Registration; Noon - goodie bag "dig"; 2:30 - Voting ends; 4:00 Raffle winners followed by Awards presentations. I'm with you Cinnamon - won't be the same without the G-Man but we'll all make him proud!

As mentioned I'll be there early, but need to leave by noon. So I'll try to figure out where we can get the best picture and help park people as they roll in with this in mind. Dix I'll bust Gary's chops to make sure he is there on time for the picture. He has missed the Nats lineup pictures on more than one occasion, fortunately he didn't miss the last one we took. This is what we're gunning for people: Baker's 2014 - Page 6 01centerfold

G-Man helped us setup this picture up at the 2013 Nationals. It sure would be nice if we can get something like this at Bakers this year.

Yes Bakers is a Great Diner. The breakfast buffet is pretty good too and not real expensive. They also grill up burgers and dogs outside around lunch time.
Hope to see you there. I won't be with my avatar van. I'll have a green Econoline with Oscar the Grouch on the back door. Everyone Please stop by and say hey!
