LED is the way to go theses are the best style. I just installed theses under my van in some cargo lights I put over both axels for the night time showes. There are brighter plus its a white lite rather than a yellowed one they dont get hot and draw a lot less power witch will help our weak chargeing systems and battery also.!!!!!!!...I paid $7.99 for the pair and the shipping was free on ebay and they have all styles and sizes BUT Buy the ones made in USA the other ones are cheapley made. They last way longer than a regular bulb plus they have a one year warr.I am thinking about changeing all my bulbs on the Van to LED.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: LEDS bulbs for 1st gen dash???
I love LED lights. I have been changing my house over to them too as I can afford to. Having a little trouble on my motorcycle changing them though.... you have to put resistors on a newer harley to use them as the built in alarm system doesnt like them. I hope to build one more house before I expire and I am going all LED lighting in it and probably solar power and storage batteries to power it.
