Wall Insulation

I have a 65 Chevy G10 van and used 10 mil self adhesive insulation on my doghouse and front floor to cut down on heat and noise and it worked real well.  Think it would be okay to use it on the cargo walls or is there a moisture concern?  Help I need suggestions

Ever considered a spray on product like Lizardskin (lizardskin.com) or Eastwood makes a similar product.

I did use Lizard skin sound proofing spray. Did my entire van inside floors to ceiling. It did make a big difference in the noise levels when driving. It was a good product. I then used a pre cut insulation package from Quiet ride solutions. It is cut to fit our vans, which is nice. The kit comes with everything you need. I did my whole van in about two hours hours.

Good to know that you are happy with Lizardskin as I am considering using their sound deadening and heat insulation products.

How many gallons did it take do the interior of your van?

I used two gallons I did everything including ceiling all doors, floor, walls. I bought the 2 gal kit with paint sprayer. It comes with everything needed.
You should check out Quiet Ride Solutions for the heat insulation materials. The kit is cut to fit our vans, saves time and effort. I also bought the plenum for the front fire wall. If you look at my pages the entire thing is documented. Good luck on the projects!

Turns out Quiet Ride Solutions is about a hour and half or a little less from my house.

Wow great, no shipping charges. They have a nice product, much better than what else I researched.
I have a V8, so I actually put muffler titanium wrap around the inside of the lid which touches my area.
Then I insulated it. They actually have a motor box insulation kit. But I did not purchase that... I bought everything else however.
But, check about your year and make, hopefully they have it too.

Yeah, I know it's an old thread.....
A much cheaper alternative to lizard skin is white elastomeric roof coating, available at all major home centers..... I got "Black Jack" brand at Lowes, 5 gallons for $65.....It's a white latex (water clean up) that Lowes has in the "roofing" section..... It's made to paint on mobile home metal roofs and is highly UV reflective if you leave it white... You can have it tinted any color by a paint department.....It's a thick membrane intense-duty rubberized coating that appears hard to the touch that STICKS!....If you were able to peel it back, you'd see how rubbery and tough the stuff is..... It's a great (and cheap) alternative for anywhere you'd consider "rhino lining".....
