How do i know if it was auto from factory. Shifter is on column is the linkage different for manual there is no indicator telling me what gear your in am I missing parts P R N D 2 1 ? on column the hole is stamped in the floor for clutch with plug in it.

If you had the broadcast sheet (pasted in right rear corner) it would tell the true story...do you have two fine thread holes on the upper column where the indicator would have been?

look at the lever assembly at the bottom of the steering box,,,,,,if there a lever not connected to the transmission shift rod, it surely is a converted 3 speed,,,,,,,,
