    Cool info! I had not seen this before. Thanks for posting it up. I did not know the inline 6's have forged connecting rods from the factory, thats pretty cool. Also the 230 is rated at 220 ft-lbs of torque. Thats pretty good, nearly 1 ft-lb per cube.

    Well I Finally got my vin code broke down after I read flyinlow's post and my numbers and letters did not match up?. GMC and CHEVY vins are defiantly different as I found out. (Thanks flyinlow) for those of you that has a GMC van I googled in 66 GMC Van vin decoder and directed me to the Vintage Chevy Van clubs web site. It was a post by Grey Ghost back in August of 2009. It is the GMC van vin break down. Now I know I have a 1966 panel van that was a 230 6cly 3 speed and was built in Pontiac Michigan and was the 5,5xxth GMC van built with a GVW of 4500 lb's. (I THINK) lol!..JOE....
