mike cook very ill

as im also a member of the yahoo group= old econolines -im getting emails on = Mike Cooks passing. Mike was a very knowledgeable man in econos & was a member here for a long time - he again will be missed !!

I new his name was familiar. He's the guy that restored the vanishing breed van, right? I love that van. Although I didn't know him, I was very much in awe of his work. He will truely be missed.

Ya no...I was just thinking of mike the other day and was wondering how his truck project was coming along. So sorry to here this sad news.

Correction here, Mike was put in hospice care this weekend. His cancer has spread, he has been given 2-3 months to live. Can someone change the title of this post please.

Please keep Mike and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

I got some very bad news Wednesday when I went to see my doctor at the local VA hospital. They ran an MRI, PET and a CAT scan and told me that they had found three masses on my liver, one on my pancreas, one on my appendix and one the tip of my spinal chord.They kept my til Saturday night. They did a biopsy on the one on my pancreas on Friday. The cancer is moving really fast.They say 3-4 months tops. God is at my side so I am not worried.

Tonight was the hardest night of my life.i signed Hospice Papers for Mike Cook.the time is getting closer n I need to be ready for the big event of his life.he wants a small military service at Riverside Arlington California. We the family r devistated at this time n we need all prayers for him.if u want contact me privatley u may at my ph on Facebook. thx love everyone.

Thanks Tim for getting this cleared up. Our prayers go out to Mike and his family. The Vanishing breed Van was the first Van I had ever found on the internet when I started my vanning project(s). I couldn't stop talking about it. I emailed my family and friends some pics after they thought I was nuts for even thinking of fixing up an old smelly piece of junk. After they saw his van they didn't no what to say...lol. Mike is and will always be an inspiration to vanning.

Mike has been nothing but gracious and fun in our conversations. I hope if this is the end that he is not suffering and does not hang on too long.

What a shame, Mike has had many health problems as long as I have been here, but would always be a help with his great knowledge of our vans. Sad news for sure

fixed f.b. yeah ive never met mike, have talked to him often on f.b. hooked him up with my body guy in cali. always been an inspiration for me and helpful , with knowledge on my projects, it sucks to hear of his condition, i wish him strength and love.

Crap... Well if there is one thing we know about Mike is he is a fighter..He has cheated death more than once lets hope he can do it again..

It is a shame he insite as Vanishing Breed has been relinquished to Guest..

How about a section for our members that dedicates their - "Handle" / Id = specifically to them? as im memorandum for our past members here?? Telling something about them & their vans & lives?? IDEA????????????????? what do we all think??

I dont know Mike, but wish him and his family only the best. This is truly a hard time.

I do not know mike but I have seen his van many times and sounds like he has a lot of real good friends MIKE and his family will be in our prayer's ..... JOE VAN .........FLORIDA VAN COUNCIL..........
