I pulled the headlight switch today and the shaft and knob came out of the actual switch so I guess I need a new one. I have noticed the new switches dont come with the knob and shaft.

How do you install the shaft and knob into a new switch? they seem to be a sealed part.

Sometimes you can just replace the knob and shaft into the switch and it will lock back in place and work properly. Try that first, you might not need a new switch.
