Hey dix, I've look and can't find anything to explain what the difference is between an L600 and an L700.
I know they both came with various engines, I guess it's a matter of hauling capacity, with the 700 rated for more weight. Do you know of any other differences besides the springs? Different frame, axles, brakes, equipment?

Rod i don't scottie is putting a diesel in one tho.He's making a flat bed to haul no door express to the race track. My guess is you are correct 700 would be more weight. i've seen water tank truck and fire trucks.

In those days you could order trucks to just about any specs you wanted. The difference would be in load capacity, that would be a difference not only in the springs but also the weight cap. of the axles. We had a tanker, 700 with the 361 5spd trans and hi-lo rear axle with hydraulic brakes. I also know of them with the cummins and air brakes.
