I have not seen one like that before,,,,,they normally have a clamp that holds the levers together and a plastic bushing that goes inside them,,,,I guess those pins hold the levers in place,,,,I would unhook the rods, take the clamp off that is under the rubber boot inside the cab next to the brake pedal and remove the 2 bolts between the levers holding the whole thing on and take it apart and see what you got,,,,,now if those pins are bolts, take the bottom out and see if the lever comes off,,,,,

Is that 2nd gen?
The disassembled pic looks to bee first gen. None of my 2nd gen vans (68, 69, 70 I have owned) had the stamped cover/retainer. you can also see there are no tapped holes for a cover on yours.

Looks like the problem is the 2 plastic bushings are worn out or got melted when they welded on the lever,,,,,so,,,,,I would have to say if you undo the levers and the clamp next to the brake pedal inside, then unbolt and remove it and knock those pins out, it would come apart, then like maybe cut up a soda can and make 2 new bushings for it,,,,,things would be as good as they are going to get.....hopefully the shift lever shaft is just clamped on that lever assembly in the cab,,,,otherwise it's a lot more work getting those levers out to work on them.......

Different angle, but this is the assembly on my 68 that still shifts well
Hard to tell, but I believe the arms are pressed on.

Re: is this a complete shifter setup?
That 67 shifter still looks like a first gen, I am not certain how much interchanges.

Re: is this a complete shifter setup?
I'm sure it would bolt up without any problems... are those pins the same between the 2 different styles, i have no idea. If he want it I'll make a pin for it.
