Throttle setup suggestions? Empty Throttle setup suggestions?

    Post by Savage64 Fri Mar 06, 2015 6:37 am

Hello Everyone,  I'm in the process of swapping a 78 200 from a Fairmont into my 64 Econo. The "new" motor has a Holley 1946 carb on it that used a cable linkage. It looks like the cable/pedal linkage from 65-67 Econos would work but I'm not sure, so I would really appreciate ANY input or suggestions on the best solution. Gonna try to do the swap as soon as winter gives up. Thanks!

Yep. 65-67 cable linkage is the way to go. Vic in SoCal has repo cables and the pedal assembly from time to time.

Thanks Duanne,,,, I JUST did one that left for Australia and it turned out very nice. The person before had a jurry rigged setup that was REALLY CRUD(E),,,,,,lol another hack job, but like really Dude a cable going across the top of the floor and into a hole in the side of the doghouse??????
Used a 240 gas pedal setup and cable, welded a mount onto the original mount and then used the spring from the original cable. WORKED super nice.
Having issues posting pictures of it??????? The box that comes up asks me to host it before I can choose one??????

Thanks Guys, Thought the 65-67 might work but I don't have access to one to look at. NEXT QUESTION, anybody have one they are willing to part with?

The 240 was the only one with a throttle cable and so as 65 to 67 for a 240 only, then it can only be out of a 65 to 67 with a 240. It uses three pieces and bolts directly in place of the small six gas pedal assemby, and then drill the two additional holes for the bell crank. I make new 240 cables and have the rest of it also.
