First off Welcome to VV!!! Pictures would help, Falcons also had a emblem on the back door also. Falcons were like a deluxe model with nicer trim in and out. Most were window van, I have seen Falcon panels. Good bunch of people here and don't be afraid to ask more questions

Welcome to VV Emily. You will find a lot of great people in these forums that have a lot of answers to the questions you will ask. Don't be affraid to ask any question, no matter how silly you might think it is. Posting pics will definatly help those who have the knowledge on falcon vans. The first thing I always recomend on a vehicle that's had door changes made is to get the Vin# that is under the doghouse, stamped into the top of the transmission hump. Post this # in the forums and there are a couple of people in here that will be able to tell you exactly what you have. Falcon or econoline? Copy_o20.. Here is where to look. You will also find that vin# on one of the brackets covering the tailights inside. See if the door, the hump, the bracket match. This way you will no what year to look for parts, and not end up buying something that doesn't fit.

The easiest way to tell Falcons from Econolines, Most if not all Falcons have a white steering wheel with a big horn ring that says Falcon. An Econoline would probably have a black steering wheel and a small horn button that says Econoline, of course they could have changed the steering wheel too.

I have locataed the vin on the hump, my door drivers door that has the falcon badge. Also the US army stamp has matching vin# E11FHB40982. i could not find the taillight bracket number. My steering Wheel say econoline. Both doors are already on the van passenger door had the econline badge that looks original to the door based on fading and what not. Ill take a minute too figure out how to post pictures. I posted a picture on the facebook page for vintage vans but claerly this is the place to be Smile

Welcome Emily, If is a 67 it will have a dual Master Cylinder brakes, Many have replaced the single but looking at that picture I doubt it. Also 67's had rear backup lights. Hope this helps.

    Emily,

That's a late 67 Falcon with the 170 six cylinder. If you can provide all the information from the door tag, I can give you more info. Being a Falcon not all of the data tag will filled out. The weight specs are blank because it was considered a passenge vehicle and not a truck.

    Thanks, Duane in Tennessee.

That's good to here that the door and floor #'s match. A vin# on the floor is your best bet to identify your van. Not to many people will take the time to weld in a floor hump. Not saying it hasn't been done, but takes a little skill. Doors come and go and the vin plate with it...lol. The reason I suggested to check the vin# is my van started out as a 61, registered as a 64, and with the vin# on the floor hump turned out to be a 67. I bought a lot of parts that don't fit. Sad .Threw good money to the wind. When you get the pic posting figured out, I can't Waite to see your van. Your off to a good start. I have since stopped that 67 project for a 66 that had a way better body....Happy Vanning.
