Econoline truck Falcon? Empty Econoline truck Falcon?

Post by demondog Sat Apr 02, 2016 12:17 pm

Had a fella claim he had a rare 5 window truck that was called the falcon. It was a 65 and had that spring special chrome .
I said as far as I know the trucks were never a falcon. Only a window bus vans were the Falcons. He insisted. I do not see anything of this and he said it was a rare option.
Can any one verify this. I can only think someone put the badging on from a van.

I'm not the Econo Guru, I believe some early Ranchero's were called Falcons, but no Econo EPups were Falcons. After 50 years lots of stuff like doors can be changed.

I have seen Epups with doors off of Falcons with the Falcon badges.

The Epups were never designated Falcons, but it is posible Ford put on the wrong badges.

This is what I thought. I know they made the window passenger vans named Falcons. Yes I also remember the the 70 to72 Rancheros having the Falcon name on them. TheRancheros that are still made in Australia are still called the Falcon down under.

A simple decode of the VIN would prove the guy wrong.

Of course, if the doors were swapped, it could have a Falcon door VIN tag.
