Early Econoline picnic Empty Early Econoline picnic

    Post by fmc56 Tue Jun 19, 2012 8:09 pm

I will again host an early Econoline picnic at my house this year.
    Sunday Sept. 9, 2012. 12:00 PM
    71 Leigh St.
    Warwick, RI
This year's event will be featured on the local New England Sports Network (NESN) television show "Cruzin' New England" hosted by Paul Manette, 64 Econline window van owner. Paul is bringing his 13,000 mile window van with him. The half hour show will be dedicated to early Econoline vans and memerobilia. Paul wants to interview and film at least 7 Econoline owners. Everyone is invited, Ford, Dodge and Chevy.
I will be supplying hotdogs, hamburgers, corn-on-the-cob and littlenecks.

Early Econoline picnic Empty MAIDEN VOYAGE

Post by Casimier Wed Aug 29, 2012 7:41 am

    Hey Fred

Although I've been driving the truck around for about a year now, this trip up to Rhode Island will be the Maiden Voyage of some distance. It's never been driven for more that 1/2 hour at a time.
Presently trying to get the truck up to snuff...oil change, checking fluids, packing the emergency extra parts, etc.

The wife is already dreading the 5 hour one way trip.

We'll be leaving Sunday morning and get to the picnic around 1 PM.
We will be stopping off before that at the W. Greenwich Best Western to check in...plan to stay the night....
and then back down to the beach here in New Jersey for the week long
    Belmar Pro Surfing Event.

    All is good

    Thanks Fred and Bobby

My wife and I had a great time at the picnic.
The Casimier Truck did all right on its voyage to Rhode Island.
Thanks for the parts and knowledge.

Anybody know which foil/insulation was used on this doghouse cover?
